How it all Started ?

A BLOG is a weB LOG. Got it? It is nothing but a log of web activities. The original idea was to maintain a continuous posting of activities to ensure consistent availability of data to the user. It was initiated by Jorn Barger (1997) and continued by Peter Merholz & then Evan Williams breaking the word 'weblog' into 'Blog' creating it a standard for posting blogs.

There were many websites which promoted & popularized the term 'blog' just to name a few Usenet, Genie, Bix etc. After 1999, Blogs started flooding the Web. It was common to ask a person his Blog address rather than his visiting card. Blogs expressed personal & political views of a person. A personal Blog means more freedom. We can express our views how we see the World.

Blogs have now ganed popularity to its extreme heights transforming the medium to a powerful tool of displaying mainstream content.
